Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

TringaliI hear the RES sites spawn in, and if I'm not in one I won't find any... is that correct? This is wrong. Best thing to do is find, like you have, a Pristine Metallic Ring and drop into it anywhere EXCEPT a Res Site. Painite is the rarest metal to find unfortunately, but be patient. My tactic is simple but difficult to pick up unless someone has explained it. You might already know it but I'll put it here anyway for others even if you do know it.
Bring Collector limpets and Prospector Limpets in addition to obvious mining equipment.
Approach a potential asteroid, blast one fragment off then scan it. If it contains a metal you need/want, fire a prospector at the asteroid and mine until it is depleted. Otherwise, move onto another asteroid.
It's a little known fact that Prospectors double the potential fragment output of any given asteroid. So if it would put out 5, you now get 10. The reason you blast a fragment off first is to save on limpets. But bare in mind it does alter the math slightly. If it would give 5 fragments, you blast one off, it now has 4 left. Firing a prospector now doubles the potential take to 8 fragments.
This should help you reach your target much quicker

TringaliI hate to ask, but does anyone have a good idea where to find PANITE for Selene Jean? I'm farming pristine metallic rings using http://edtools.ddns.net/ (which is awesome) but still not finding any. I hear the RES sites spawn in, and if I'm not in one I won't find any... is that correct?
I had the same problem not finding any.
This is what I did:
I went to the Hi RES site at FREY 4 and pumped out about 50 prospector limpets. No luck.
(This is after about 200 prospector limpets on other locations.)
Instead I went closer to the body and tried the inner most ring. 5th Roid I prospected got me
the 10 Painite I needed!
I highly recommend going there, Very easy to find it close to the body. Not using the RES sites.
Good luck

Testing the asteroid before prospecting is a good tactic indeed, especially when working with a smaller ship and limited limpets. If you come to the task with a large ship - I'd recommend 1/3rd capacity worth of limpets - and you get lucky with the minerals - you may find yourself having to discard unused limpets to fill your hold with precious metals.
The mining in Colonia is FANTASTIC. I spent a lot of time there and regularly found rocks in excess of 50% Gold or one of the P-metals. I expect it's not as good in the bubble, but still...
A thing I've found useful is to decide in advance what is worth mining and pass on everything else. If you start filling up on Osmium, for example, then by the time you're out of cargo space and out of limpets, you'll find that amazing 50/50 Platinum/Painite rock and you'll be frustrated.
Also, the lesser minerals may well be worth keeping, especially if you're in good standing with the station where you're looking to sell it. Check the mission board before selling your haul - there may be lucrative missions looking for cargo you've already got, so don't miss that chance to sell off the lesser metals.

Kortossisodd..i still cannot engineer things requiring commodity items, if the feature is turned off why cant i engineer components without them??
[Checklist]
1) Engineer unlocked ? - (probably, since you would not be seeing the workshop otherwise).
2) Materials listed for the grade blueprint on hand (not redded out) ?
3) Engineer reputation spun up to the grade of mod you are spinning for ? - (mod menu item yellow)
- Unless FD has re-instated the requirement for commodities.
- If in-game is listing them than they will be required.

smokeingcat1369I have a question if maybe somebody can help me. When I go into my map of systems and I look at the ringed planet it does not show me if the Rings are pristine metallic whenever doesn't show me any information about the rings. am I missing something. I'm in Colonia and I was looking at surrounding systems to maybe find good money resources. But once again the data on the map doesn't show if the Rings are pristine metallic, ice and what have you. Anyway all comments will help in one way or another thank you

Have you scanned the planet with a Detailed Surface Scanner?

GraXXoRI guess it's pointless saying it again, since this channel is no longer moderated:

Seriously - 10 minutes in and no signs of slowing. Since hyperspace jumps are the equivalent of loading screens I have to conclude that something has gone wrong.
My internet seems fine, and Windows doesn't report a problem or crash, so I'm wondering if something just happened to the servers. Also: if I force the game to close - what happens to my ship?

Andrew CrispHi. Sorry for the intrusion but I have a problem - I'm STUCK in a hyperspace jump.

It'll be fine. When you restart, you'll be where you jumped from, or your ship will have been eaten by aliens. One of the two.

Oh sure... This is how Jacques Station got to where it is... Maybe this is a secret code and our friend here has discovered Elite: Dangerous Andromeda - it just take "a while" to get there...
