Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

outstanding work on getting Inara ready for 3.0, big thanks for that.

Now for a bug report and a suggestion…

• In the Crafting List view, the Missing Components inset does not take experimental effects into account. (Fortunately, the Commander’s Cargo view does take them into account.)

• Suggestion: Add a “Trading Category” column for the main components list and, ideally, also for the Materials/Components list in the Commander’s Cargo view.

Is there anywhere to see the actual numbers on what the experimental effects do?

Just a little something. Been looking for Heat Resistant Ceramics.

-Inara states Transport ships salvage.
-The game says authority/military salvage.

I can say that after over 40 transport kills that absolutely none dropped, a buddy of mine had same issues. Tried in different systems, states, allegiances, nothing.

In a HAZres today, an eagle and viper dropped these like candy. Not sure where to report this, so doing it here.

I think they've rebalanced where and how many materials drop. I got a few proto radiolic alloys from an Anaconda kill at a High-Res. The system happened to be in a Boom state, since I was also farming for USSs at the time, if that matters at all.

Thanks, yes, it's quite possible that the material drop was rebalanced, as Mato mentioned. If do you will notice any other discrepancies, please let me know.

Thanks for the report, the experimental effects missing was my oversight, it is now fixed. For the trading category... the next post.

New feature to make engineering and material juggling more easy: The missing components listing! I hope its function is self-explanatory and although it looks a little bit ugly at this moment, it should serve its purpose.

Yes, I will add it there. But the blueprint details are visible in the crafting list details/edit, too.

I hope I haven't skipped a post that says so.

  • There seems to be a problem with the shipyard import for the Type 10. The capacity of the optional internals are wrong, so the components in these slots are not shown on the component list.
  • Is there an option to show infos like speed and jumprange?

Thanks, both issues resolved.

No ship info for speed/jump range/etc. at this moment, as it requires calculations from all the ship modules, modifications, etc.

Artie I am amazed at your new updates for the Material Traders/Engineering updates. The rest of my wing are just smiling as they see what it can do for them now. Thanks for all the work.

I did notice one thing in the Missing Materials list. Since you added the possibility of Trades to get the items you need, I notice that you are only showing for trades possible on the same line of the materials that you want. For example, I want chemical processors, so you are showing I have extra chemical manipulators that I can trade for. But I can also trade items from other lines such as exquisite Focus crystals for them.

I know this is going to make your calculations much harder, but is this on the todo list?

Did I mention how much I love this new feature? Oh and the little note that shows how many I can trade because I have to reserve some, Brilliant!

My mat gathering spree: bring collectors to low res, preferably you have some massacre missions... if you are in a tough enough ship, bring valuable cargo. Wait... kill anything that chimes comes sniffing for your cargo. Kill, collect repeat. Low res can spawn anything haz res does, just lower grade. Easy kills by the dozens. You'll have hundreds of low to high mat grades. Planning inn just trading up for those harder to get mats...

Artie, I can only see blueprints for Seeker Missiles and not the Fixed / Dumbfire ones.

Have they been removed from the game, or just missing from the site?

Artie, I´ve got an idea for the missing components feature:
Would it be possible to have an additional column telling where to actually find the missing mats? Like Kadmium -> Planets, Chromium -> Planets/Asteroids, etc.?
I know you probably would have to compile a database for it. I´m not familiar with Elites API though. Maybe there´s a possibility to pull the material data from there.
It´s not a mandatory thing, but it would be really nice to have to see where one can find the missing stuff at a glance
