Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Don SamenOne of my ships name seems to be sencored. The name only shows as V...........t.
Most likely censored by FDev's over-jealous profanity filter. Unfortunately the filtered name is what is used in the Journal.

G'day CMDR's, This may sound like a stupid question, but how do I link my ED account with INARA?

I am right to understand that this cannot be done with PS4 yet?

Might I suggest that you add a dislike button to blog posts? Most of them are absolutely woeful and written by 12 year olds with a touch of the tism, and all I get to do is like/upvote that crap rather than call it out for the ubiquitous waste of time that it was.

That is correct.

So withhold your precious shiny and live your life imagining that those who write logbooks are endlessly refreshing their browsers, never receiving the validation from Bashprompt that they are no doubt craving.

Are you suggesting there should be a feature to make it even easier to impose your critical opinion on people who do not want it?

Artie, something seems wonky with the forum unread/new messages counter. i.e. the Inara forum just said "171", but upon arrival, I see three messages highlighted as new. Also this forum indicated 3 new messages but there were actually none new.

There is enough negativity and judgement flying around. A better solution is, don't read the stuff you don't like, don't give it a shiney, and don't offer your opinion unless it's asked for.

Sometimes silence is golden.

Sage advice this, more people on the Internet need to heed it.

I believe this is a bad idea, and would be abused is the worst way. The general unwritten rule is: shiney it if you like it, PM any friendly creative criticism if you want to help, ignore and move on if you don't like it. Really not that hard to do.

Stryker's right. There is enough negativity in the world. Why make others miserable when that offers no benefit?

The other aspect to consider is this: the log books are there for pilots to use for their personal use. So there is going to be a vast verity in what is going to be posted. Let's face it, expecting everyone to author award winning chronicles is a little unrealistic.

2018 - er, 3304 - needs to be a more peaceful, more positive year. Adding a dislike button would fly in the face of that.
