Commanders having Elite from Epic games store with http 400 error
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.

Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.

Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Shifter Zeromy concern is that i'll fly out to a trader, trade some mats, then realise that i needed the materials i traded for another blueprint i wanted or an experimental effect. which is why i think it would be useful to have something where i could preview trade outcomes and reference the materials used against other blueprints. i know you can trade everything, but this way i can make sure that im only trading materials i dont need, and i can see how much im getting of the material i do need, so i can decide if just the trade is enough or if i should go out and farm some more.

That shouldn't be an issue, even now are materials required for blueprints marked in the Cargo and that feature will remain (there will be just some visual changes), so you should get a clear overview which materials you need and which can be discarded/exchanged.

I don't see the screenshot, but as I see in your fleet, the problem is probably in that "X-nnnn" format. This ident format is reserved for the Inara Nexus supporters' ships and can be generated by using a button in the ship edit.

Anyone have an issue with Inara showing incorrect grade level for engineers? I have Farseer unlocked at grade 5, but the site claims it's only at level 4 - any way to correct it?


I have the same issue. I manually import my logs. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the 3rd party apps though. I know of no fix on my end so far

Hello. Does anybody know how to fix the power that is being displayed in the wing roster? It is correct in my Cmdr's Log, but I can't get it to update in the roster (i use edcm, but since it failed I've tried with a manual update, still nothing). Thanks for any help and have a good day/evening.

Hello, it is a bug. It will be fixed in a few days.

Correct. The journal only provides engineer ranks when they change. Inara can't pull data from the journal if it isn't there in the first place.

  1. A 'Preview' post button in the forums
  2. A manual delete button in the PM section. I have some old messages I no longer need to keep. Would be nice to be able to clean the clutter.

Some basic preview is directly in the edit form, as Draxxa mentioned, but I have some further improvements for this on my list.
The delete button for inbox shouldn't be a problem, adding it to the list as well.

The game update 3.0 is here and there is also the update of Inara! Some of the features were put online in a limited form in the past few weeks for testing purposes, but I will mention them as well. There must be also expressed a big thanks to Frontier for providing a nice support to 3rd party tools which allowed to make these things happen.

The list of things that needed to be done was huge, but I will keep it short and mention just the major changes:
  • All blueprints, ships, modules and star systems were updated to reflect changes in 3.0
  • There were added up-to-date lists of blueprint experimental effects, synthesis and technology broker unlocks.
  • New feature: Crafting lists. Instead of previous system of favorite blueprints is there a brand new feature that will allow much better customization in planning what blueprints to engineer. Also, the personal cargo/inventory page was overhauled to provide better feedback which materials are needed and which you can exchange for something else.
  • There is now possible to import superpower reputations, ship loadouts, stored modules and your in-game statistics via journals (and thanks to Otis B. it should be also possible via the latest ED:Market Connector version, which will be released shortly).
    Please note that game statistics and detailed ship loadouts including engineering data are present just in the journals generated by game version 3.0.
  • Wings can now hide their public wing description to members (so it won't clutter their front page). There was added an option to mass expel all wing members with a Reserve rank set.
  • Many various improvements across the site were made, to improve the outputs, navigation or simply just with minor features added (like overhauled ship details page, added traffic estimated to star system information and so on...).
I would also like to mention that Inara passed a "milestone" of 100.000 users registered two weeks ago! Thanks to you all for the trust and support!

And now... Thargoids are waiting...

A note: There are new Guardian-related materials and similar stuff that weren't present in the beta. Those will be added to Inara tomorrow at the latest. I have also discovered a minor bug that some blueprints aren't properly imported (typically for modules in utility slot) in the ship loadouts. It will be fixed tonight.

I noticed an error in the description of a ship: the chieftain. The new top optional compartiment is class 6, with default class 5 cargo. Changed from the beta setup I think

Using Engineers here since the latest ED update, it seems my mats/data/raw information is not being carried over to the engineer blueprints but it is clearly here in Inara at View Cargo. Are you aware of this?
