Inara updates, bug reports, requests
When you try to link your accounts, you may receive the http error 400 about expired tokens. It's an issue on Frontier's end that I cannot solve on Inara. Fortunately, the solution is simple - please give it a few days and it will start to work later (probably when the access token on their cAPI server expires). If the error 400 appeared later and it worked before, try to reauthenticate as said in the error message (may be just a regular reauth forced by Frontier). Alternatively, you can try to use the workaround below. If even that won't work, it's the problem described above.
Please vote for the issue on the official bug tracker: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/21258
Possible workaround: Try to connect the account while you are in the game. It may work.
Game data and imports not available for console commanders and PC players with Legacy game version
Inara supports only the Live game version (so PC Horizons 4.0 and Odyssey) since game update 14, thus all the game data on the site and the commander data imports work only for those game versions.

Why some player factions that are clearly marked in EDDB as player factions, AND here as well, dont really appear as player factions near me.
This gives them unfair advantage to hide as NPC factions.
This seems to happen also where there is more than one player faction in same system.
In this case at least controlling faction should definitely show if only one can be shown.
For example :
Minor Factions -> Player Factions , then there is a list of closest player factions near your set location.

Hi,
I believe that "Player Factions near you" only shows the distance between you, and the faction's origin system. NOT, the closest system they actually control or are present in.

Is it down for maintenance?
It's my favourite ship building application especially with the import from inara.

1. Import SLEF current state. EDMC/Frontier profile dont get it right. Engineering is often missed.
2. Export SLEF target state. Dont assume I have it elsewhere - I may want to send it to EDSY
3. Import EDSY retrofit analysis to Inara crafting lists. OMG useful.

Nkizo CalderI think adding up the info in Shipyard that Cobra Mk IV cannot be bought under normal circumstances would be a good idea. A lot of fresh players are searching for Cobra Mk IV, especially after they see featured Cobra Mk IV as a playable ship in the Horizons trailer.
Good call, added some note there.

Hello, it's exactly as Kaizimm wrote - the list is based on their origin, so nearest player factions "home" systems. There may be possible to have a list based on their presence anywhere, but I am not sure how expensive it will be (performance-wise), so it needs tests first.
Askingquasar641Hey,
I trying to link my inara to my xbox account and fluffed it half way through and logged it in on the wrong account, could it be resest please?
It seems you have figured it out already?
SuiddaruInara EDSY integration is really getting great. These 3 simple changes (clickbait!) would make it superb....
1. Import SLEF current state. EDMC/Frontier profile dont get it right. Engineering is often missed.
2. Export SLEF target state. Dont assume I have it elsewhere - I may want to send it to EDSY
3. Import EDSY retrofit analysis to Inara crafting lists. OMG useful.

1. I do not want to import SLEFs for the current loadouts, because it may get overwritten by the regular update anyway. So the best way how to get the current ship loadout is through regular update (API, manual journal import or Frontier data import). At least one of them should work correctly, no idea why you are getting the engineering/etc. data stripped.
2. There is possible to pick the SLEF in the edit window (same as used for the import) and use it as an import data back to EDSY. As there are not guaranteed such import is absolutely alright (as it's entered by user and not generated by Inara), I was not looking to the option of adding some button there when proper SLEF is present, but it may worth adding for better user's comfort. I will think about that.
3. Yep, it's definitely something I would like to do. No ETA yet, as there are more pressing matters currently.
Lostinis it at all possible to expand the "nearest inhabited systems" list up to around 40 ly? as some recent expansions are reaching as high as 30 ly, using the list to know where your expanding has become too limited with current . apologies if this has been requested before
Not the current list, as it's long enough as it is and it was never intended to serve as a "full" feature for expansions evaluation, just as some kind of hint. But, I want to add some full list on the separate page/minor faction tab in the future.
Mcm1ckyI can't seem to use EDSY anymore it keeps telling me and update is available and that I should refresh or click okay but nothing changes.

KaizimmI think so yeah. I've added some when I had the time. It seems that some of these undockable locations aren't detected by EDMC when you're in the system.
Visiting non-dockables like settlements won't trigger an inclusion as the EDDN framework currently doesn't support the "ApproachSettlement" entry in our journal files (which would plug this gap).
I have raised this with the development guys (who are very helpful if you speak to them on their discord channel) but I think the concern was the extra load this would put on the back-end processes.
If these things got into the EDDN database they could then find their ways into things like eddb and Inara in due course. At the moment both these allow additions to be made manually but, well, it's a big universe.
Installations are recorded under the "FSSSignalDiscovered" entry which is a lot more common and give no extra information that could be used to populate the database. So I think we're stuck to adding these manually.
