Hi everyone

I've been around here for a week or so. Still very new to ED and unfortunately not that much time to play the game. Who's idea was it that we have to work for money anyway...?

Want to say thank you to everyone on INARA for all the content. It has been incredibly helpful! I'm learning great things all the time. Even when reading through logs. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something one day.

Hello Mads,

Welcome to the black! I would highly recommend joining the Discord (link on the right, on desktops), there are a lot of people online to help you out.

You'll find many, MANY, different types of people playing Elite. I recommend listening to all thoughts from multiple sources, especially the ones with realistic viewpoints. Haha.

Hello fellow Space Cowboys (and girls). Not new to ED ( that doesn't sound good just found this community and hopped on. Not looking for anything in particular, will most likely help out with PVE missions and such. Give me something meaningful to do instead of just bounce around milking credits from other systems. PM if you would like to hook up and explore. Great site so far and lots of community engagement.

Hello everyone, thought I'd drop in and introduce myself.
I've been using Inara as a resource for years, and I'm very fond of the place, but it's only been recently that I've been engaged with the community. It's been an incredible resource in so many aspects.
In particular, the logbook has been a fantastic tool to approach the many writing prompts that are inherent in the Elite universe.
Thanks to everyone for enriching the space by providing your own flavor, this really is an awesome community! I've been learning an awful lot about the BGS lately, so I'm happy to chat about that if anyone is curious!

Greetings to all. New to Elite, at least the Elite that wasn't on NES. Been playing for a couple weeks now and am in love. I find myself even when I am not playing, thinking of what I am going to do when I log back on. Just wanted to say hi to what seems to be a stellar community and even more stellar co-pilot (being this INARA resource). Best wishes to all, and fly safe or dangerous, whichever suits you better! o7

Hello everyone. Im no stranger to ED but i wouldnt say im even adept yet. Ive only played on PC so far. Most of the time in VR. I had not played the classics but i sure wish i had known of them. Anyway, Im new on Inara. I just found this site by chance a few days ago and man im so glad i did. So much info it makes my head spin. Very nice. Logbooks are fun to read because of how rpg driven they all seem to be. In the the game i pretty much fly civil out of combat, trade and explore. I really enjoy passenger transporting and recently purchased a Dolphin. Its so fun. I know there is so much more to ED than just mission boards and commodity trade, I plan to delve in to BGS a lot more than i previously have. Ive had the game for about a year and when i first started i was clueless and my sole purpose was credits and bigger ships, But now i think i have found my calling in the ED universe, at least for now. Feel free to friend me, i will accept all requests on here and in game. I usually fly solo and almost constantly on the move with my preferred role right now so i would say "see you among the stars" like some of you have said but by the time you see me, ill probably be in FSD a milisecond later!

o7 all,

I have had Elite for while now but now starting to really get into it more. I play mostly Open and have been doing a mix of Trade/Mining and Combat, just earned Elite in trade actually! I am married w/ 2 kids so I don't get as much time in the black as some but I find the time when I can. I am East Coast so if anyone wants to wing anytime add me and hit me up!!

Greetings Commanders,

I hail you from Italy, but as an Iranian, been playing the game since 2017, on and off, usually do cargo runs or head out into the black for exploration with my lovely ASP X...
I will probably start doing some role-playing soon and see how it goes, good to be here! feel free to hit me up if you want to wing up!

Just found this game by chance and have been playing for a few days and love it. Used to play the original Elite back in the day.
Would love to join an active squadron to do missions, exploration, etc. The vast open space can be quite lonely at times
I play on a PC, my timezone is GMT (Iceland) and language English.

I used to play the original Elite too. Many Squadrons here, like my own, have veteran Cmdrs willing to team up and help. You can browse them here and find one to your liking. Fly dangerous, but never without rebuy




Thanks for the reply. Based on the Silverback description it looks like I could fit right in with the group (read: I am not 20 years old anymore)

Another group worth having a look at would be my own squadron G.O.M. Collective. Nearly all of us are mature gamers (40+) and a fun, helpful group to fly with. We primarily operate out of the Zelano system.
