I've been a regular reader here for a few months now so I thought it was about time I said ello.
I encountered Elite at my first school. I played it on a BBC model B because one of my teachers couldn't leave the game alone and brought it in with him. I was bitted by the same bug and played Elite on and off for years on numerous platforms. I think Elite Plus on the Amiga was my fave. Dangerous has its teeth in me now and I don't mind one bit.
As well as finding INARA a useful tool and helpful information center thanks to the contributors, I really enjoyed writing logs for my first Exploration trip. The support and compliments from other commanders really made me wanna carry on pinging systems for inspiration for the next log.
That writing lead me to join an on-going story in the Roleplay: Off Station section.
After way too many years, Elite still finds new ways to eat up my personal time.

Just a minor correction to Whiplash (me being a pedantic old fart) The Silverbacks are Independent not Federation, but all Power Play supporters are welcomed equally
