This is a minor issue, but as a general rule of thumb we tend to use Italics for inner monologues not speech. Simply because speech is obvious due to being marked with "speech marks".
I only mention it because right now it is taking a bit of thought to determine if your character is thinking or talking out loud.
Other than that, keep it up!!! It's quite amusing to read your character and I hope to see him get mixed up in the action.
