People are getting attacked by thargoids and I'm sitting in a bistro talking to some officer!
I just knew I should've gone out there with a small calibre field-gun!

However, The life support systems failing when the canopy breaks makes absolutely no sense at all...
The only thing that I could imagine is that the cockpit has to be closed off from the rest of the ship's interior to prevent it or it's passengers / cargo from exposure. And that there is no line connecting the on-board life support to the pilot's suit's emergency line.
But this is just utterly stupid, Not only because the ships manufacturer or the pilot himself could just simply make a connection between the supported side of the ship's interior, and the pilot's suit.
But also because even if there really wasn't the pilot could just take the emergency cylinder out of the container and carry it (a cylinder that could contain 25 minutes of oxygen can be easily man-carried) into the secured interior and refill it.
But yeah, game balance!

Bryan IscariotSorry, I'm after making up a reason for the Dolphin only coming out now after the Beluga and Orca, Probably should have asked if there was a reason in the lore about that first.
Because Saud-Kruger realized that there was a market for short-run, private luxury transport instead of grand tours with lots of other people? Just a thought.

Well, I thought of putting something like that but from a company perspective, I can't see Saud taking the risk and making the Beluga or Orca first. It would sorta be like inventing the double decker bus fist and then inventing the car. If you know what I mean, so I made up a reason that the Dolphin wouldn't be around till now.

I understand what you're saying. The comparison I would make is to point to modern airlines- the big ol' 747 is being supplemented and phased out in favor of smaller, more efficient jets that do the same job for far less overhead to the company. And of course the planes flown by regional airlines are smaller still. I think that a similar model could be applied to the luxury transports the fly the Orcas, Beluga, and Dolphins.
