I finally unlocked Selene Jean! So that means armour mods.
I've looked over three options which I reckon would work depending on the ship.
Lightweight armour (basic) with the heavy duty mod.
Military composites with the lightweight mod.
Reactive surface with thermal resistance mod.
I fly an iEagle, a Courier, and a Clipper. So, what should I go for and why? My preliminary idea is military lightweight on the iEagle and Courier, and Reactive Thermal on the Clipper... But that heavy duty on base hull is not to be ignored... So I'm a bit stuck.

Yes. The SDC taking a new POI hostage can really bring people together for a nice chat. (Never got to see the giant space flower laser show myself) I did get a little "infiltration adventure" out of it. The people in the discord seemed to like my attempt at a stealthy SRV run. Lol

Speaking of... Decided I'd go lightweight/heavy duty for the iEagle. Gained something like 50m/s in speed by dropping the military composites and gained 275 integrity before resistances are added.
Going for the reactivate/thermal for the clipper once I can afford the 50,000,000 for the armour... Because jeezo that pricetag but worth it.
I think the courier will be the same as the iEagle, but I'll have to see.. But it's not using enhanced thrusters so I might cope with the extra weight better.

I'm taking the Verreaux (iEagle) anyway so if it's still chocca with griefers the rebuy is negligible. Plus it would be fun to see how her new defences hold up!!

flower looking ships and humans, well you play as one so lol.
Also there are the Meta-Alloy source barnacles, but those are more or less
plant life form. That's it. And the various other forms of organic bacteria
that you read about in some planet infocards. But other than that, no more
alien species, at least not yet. Let's just wait for the season finale, shall we?
Big hype reveal at the end, or at least that's what Braben said (what convinced
me to buy the game to begin with so lol, no pressure there Braben
)
