Okay, now the big bug of the big bug. Sometimes, when you manage to shove a torpedo into a closing vent, the whole thing gets stuck. I've just lit up every one of his funny smoking holes, but got no corn sticking out of his back.

Why do people assume the clearly much more heavily armored side of the Titan is its back? Seriously. They may be Thargoids but they can obey sensible design ideas.

Kasumi GotoYou just can’t hit anything else around the Titan well with them so I was considering to take AXMCs anyway, if I do Titan fighting with my alt - just to be able to swat Scouts easily.

Though a Krait can also fit three large AXMCs so it won’t be as bad as the FDL with its four mediums. Unless you’re using the huge hardpoint for a missile/multi.

I went with the large AX MCs for flexibility. I did not want to run into a situation where I had to fight interceptors or scouts with missile racks. But as I later discovered, in practice, if you are flying in open or AXI PG, where you are guaranteed to run into other players, then you can leave CAP to the other players and dive in with all missile racks, all the time. In solo, you are your only support, and MCs are a better all-round option.

EDIT: Should also mention on the very first trip the Titan was bugged and vents could not be triggered, but did have to kill an interceptor. Which, with a half-dozen players and a Farragut taking part, took about a minute.

I had it in my mind that if I did anything (probably if/once Oya starts coming under focused attack), I’d probably be doing it in Open. Unless Meowers here wants to do things with me on my alt for Titan blasting in a private group but my internet, even though I am in a reasonably well-developed country, sometimes just decides to be about as useful as a can of empty olives. Then other days it’ll be running completely smoothly for hours on end.

I would have a wired connection if the guy from the provider that came over to look at the situation didn’t just say “Nah, this is too much effort” or something along the lines of it being a bunch of work and mom wasn’t having that attitude. Haven’t bothered since…

(Edit - may still prefer the AXMCs to cover for a support role instead of singular dedicated bomber… do like my flexibility in the things I use.)

Yup, she was right beside Titan Taranis (absolutely dwarfed by it), firing away like mad at the interceptor. At first I thought it was a player Corvette peering down into a heat vent, but it was a Farragut.

I am not impressed by what Aegis has done. Not impressed at all.

How is this better than the mycoid, or the Proteus Wave? How can someone like Alba Tesreau accept this?

So, the Taranis is slowly progressing, currently around Medium Rare and expected to be Well Done in 21 hours or so. Going to restock some ingredients for my next shift on this hell's kitchen.

...And sort the stuff out in my own storages after a bout of panic buying. Why did I purchase six Thargoid Pulse Scanners...
