Personality

Even in her current form, she is as human as before. She makes mistakes and has her doubts. She is the first to admit she doesn’t have the answers to most things, but when it comes to mechanics, machining, and propulsion, she is the go-to person.

She can be shy, timid, or even clumsy, but make no mistake. Like the mechanics she served around for most of her life, she has no reservations about having that personal one-on-one conversation, that often settles any prior disagreements. Since her rebirth into her current form, she has to measure her response; and more than one wall has suffered for it.

While she is female, in every sense, her passions lean towards her craft. A few men have caught her eye from time to time, but as perhaps a flawed-thinking cynical pragmatist, she goes out of her way to avoid making any first approach. As she puts it: “How many men—of any moral compass—would want a woman who could out fly, think, drink, fight, and fuck?”

Early Years

Xochitl Khae's early years were shaped by the influence of her parents, who themselves were experts in their respective fields. Her father, Sodasa Khae, was a skilled mechanical engineer known for his precision and craftsmanship. Alongside his work as an engineer, he ran a successful side business specializing in milling and machining, catering to a variety of industries. Xochitl's mother, Dr. Miahuaxihuitl Khae, was a brilliant physicist and propulsion specialist. With a deep passion for understanding the fundamental laws of the universe, Dr. Miahuaxihuitl dedicated her career to pushing the boundaries of space exploration and propulsion systems.

Xochitl's parents, with their complementary expertise, fostered an environment that encouraged her to pursue her passions in both mechanics and propulsion systems. From her father, she inherited a love for practical engineering, craftsmanship, and the value of hands-on work. From her mother, she gained a deep understanding of the intricacies of physics and the potential of propulsion systems to unlock the mysteries of space.

Growing up, Xochitl spent countless hours in her father's workshop, fascinated by the intricacies of machines and tools. Sodasa recognized his daughter's innate mechanical aptitude and nurtured her curiosity. While her friends were engrossed in the latest holo-games and social trends, Xochitl could be found tinkering with engines and designing innovative devices.

Federation

Upon completing her formal education, Xochitl eagerly sought opportunities to apply her knowledge and skills in real-world scenarios. She joined the Federation as a junior mechanical engineer and propulsion specialist. Her demonstrated capabilities gained her recognition, prompting the Federation to send her to higher education courses and conferences, where over the years, her knowledge and skills blossomed.

While working on a module that contained an undisclosed dangerous modification, Xochtil was faced with a life-changing accident that turned her into a cyborg. She had lost one arm, both legs, hips, the lower spinal column (the entire column being replaced,) and part of her head, along with one eye, that was replaced with the best cybernetics the Federation had in their medical inventory.

It took more than a couple of years' worth of surgeries and rehabilitation into her new form. Due to her love of engineering and willingness to continue in that field, her cybernetic design is focused on mechanics, allowing her to lift and manipulate heavy modules with ease while also providing the articulation necessary to work with small IC components.

Independent
Fleet Carrier Owner: Estrellas de la Mirage (Star of the Mirage)

Since those times, Xochitl forged ahead on her own, as an independent contractor. She has adapted to her new cybernetic design, which has enabled her to excel in her work. Her independence and expertise have allowed her to travel across human-inhabited space and work for various factions, including inside the challenging Thargoid-infested areas.

In addition to her proficiency in mechanics, Xochitl Khae's cybernetic design has also proven to be durable and comparable to combat designs in combat situations. Her design provides her with pronounced physical striking capabilities, while her mechanical knowledge gives her an advantage in knowing where to strike. This makes her a formidable opponent in combat situations as well as in her career as a ship mechanic and propulsion specialist.

She has also taken a clever approach to managing her finances and has built up her wealth over time, allowing her to purchase a fleet carrier and several ships. This new chapter in her life has been spent learning how to be a business owner and capital ship captain while focusing on improving the lives of her crew members and the regions in which she works. Xochitl Khae's determination and resilience have allowed her to continue to pursue her dreams despite the obstacles that she has faced.

Clan leader of the: Tolgiin Nur no Gesshoku
(The Eclipse of the Star of the Steppe)

Due to the prodding of her android assistant, closet friend—Yatziri—and her crew, Clan leader Xochitl has been trust into a situation where she has to consider her genetic past, and strive to live up to the example of her elders, and do what is best for her people. This has created a new and hidden inner desire to do what is best for her people. Xochitl still has to learn to balance the wisdom of her elders with her own unique insights and intuition. Can she embrace her role as a bridge between the past and the future, blending tradition with innovation to guide her clan toward prosperity?
