In the beginning, life was great. Loving Mom. Stern Dad. Typical upbringing. My Dad, Lago, was a foreman for a commodities warehouse. My Mom, Milena, was an insurance actuary. He would always correct her grammar. She would always giggle when she had to full name him. Then there was my twin sister, Mildred. She and I were pretty much inseparable. We were opposites, but in complimentary sort of way. Mildred was a bit spacey, artistic, but kind of cold emotionally. I was always mathematical, the tinkerer, yet always with a joke.
