Elkyri disappointed her parents by refusing to pursue their plans for a career in local politics and instead left home with life as rated crew aboard a megaship in mind. Her plans changed when an anonymous benefactor gifted her a Sidewinder after graduation from flight school and induction into the Pilots' Federation. She is now a freelance trader and sometimes smuggler trying to avoid getting caught up in local power struggles.
