*Unique Worlds Require A Unique Approach*
~Merope 5 C~
Last week we continued our efforts in collecting a lot of information on the “Known” Barnacle Planets and gained some interesting information. Merope 5 C has yet to relinquish the knowledge of another barnacle on her surface causing us to look for a different approach on how Planetary Surveys will be conducted in the coming weeks. If we can unlock her secrets, whether that be another barnacle or not, it will be a great milestone in the study of the organic mysteries we refer to as “Barnacles”!
~IH-V C2-16 C 4~
The planet orbits a sister star far from the main entry point. I find this system fascinating for many reasons but it probably has to do with how long I have to think about the system on my trip to the drop. C 4 is a unique barnacle planet as well, it has so far the largest barnacle cluster found on a landable body with a total of 6 which reside inside a vast crater (probably formed by a comet or asteroid that ventured too close and was obliterated spraying debris a vast distance across the planet and maybe even some made it to another world that just happened to bare witness). Since only one Cluster of six has been found on this planet, it is just as unique as Merope 5 C. Maybe we will find another Cluster in another region of C 4 or perhaps we will stumble on more questions than answers. Either way we are Researchers and will take on these mysteries one spreadsheet at a time.
New Tricks & Ideas
~Explorer Snap~
“Explorer Snap” is a Project that I've been working on to gain interest from Explorers and use that info to try and excite a new wave of wide-eyed explorers and bring the Galaxy to the Bubble. I ask all explorers if you have the time and are passing by a nebula that once it takes up 50%-75% of your screen to “Snap” a ScreenShot and send the Image with the name of the Nebula to Research@Vaeleden.com, with your support we can bring the Galaxy to the Bubble for those that are working hard to reach the goals they have set for themselves.
~It’s A Barnacle, No, It’s A Mountain, No, It’s A Crater With A Canyon~
Sometimes we can focus too hard on one thing we are looking at due to our desire to find what we seek. Searching for Barnacles is described as staring at a dead world for hours on end. However I believe we are missing a lot of data that others would think were great finds, Large Mountains for Base Jumping Fans, Deep and windy Canyons for the Racer Enthusiast, and much more that groups seek but I'm oblivious too. I search for barnacles in my Viper Mk III just because the roar of the engine and the speed i can get darting through a nice canyon or across a flat plane. I encourage racers and base jumpers to come out and have some fun out in the Pleiades, you may happen on a great canyon to race down or mountain to jump off of but you may also find a barnacle. Lets work together and smash into every wall, watch the base of every mountain clutter with the wrecks of those that didn't have what it takes, and let's see where the barnacles take us.
