Mission: Distant Worlds II - Exploration Expedition

Location: Galactic Centre - Explorer's Anchorage

When I first signed up for Distant Worlds II (DW) I can remember exploring Hawking's Gap, and scanning an ELW. Listening to Galnet, doing some computer research, and finding old 3302 vidoes on the first DW exploration I right away headed back towards the bubble to prep for the trip. About time I signed up I only had a couple of weeks to get ready, hit up some of my engineering contacts, and gather some much needed synthesis material for the long trip.

I remember the feeling of being overwhelmed by the prospect of traveling many thousands of light years away from human space. See in my solo exploration days I only traveled maybe 5000LY to 7000LY away from human space. Never did I dream I would be motivated to head out towards Colonia, Sagittarius A, and most of all Beagle Point! And now here I am, the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, and at the first space port in the center of the galaxy!

During my journey with the DW2 Fleet I have met some great CMDRs, and seen the beauty of our wonderful galaxy! Now, after so many weeks in the black I sit here at the new station to rest up before continuing on with the fleet. Maybe the station services will kick on, namely the shipyard, to make arrangement to get my combat fighter shipped here from Colonia to help protect miners during the community goal. For now I will rest up, do some much needed maintenance on Slip Stream, and enjoy some good company.
