As previously said, I wanted to participate in the war effort, but I waited to see if some of the issues would be fixed.According to a cold ridden Cmdr Burr, Frontier are looking into mission board issues.
Regardless, after a chat with friends, I discovered that I was in a huge Exo-Bio hole.
I was knocked back to the late stages of Taxonomist rank according to the numbers.
I'm at "Elite rank", since I took advantage of the early plant boom, but I'm actually far behind.
In order to make visible progress I need to catch up.
After comparing my earnings to online sources, I discovered that I need to make 5 Billion credits, yikes!
With this new information I made a plan to reclaim my status.
I'm going to take my Fleet Carrier (Old Erikson's Gateway) east of Sag A until I hit the edge of the galaxy.
Then I'll start heading south, along the eastern edge until I reach the bubble.
I may have a friend or two tag along, since they had a similar idea.
The carrier has fuel for half the trip, the other half will need to be mined.
I already mined 350 tons over the past two evenings.
I'll mine at least 100 tons each day until I arrive in the bubble.
This is no small task and somewhat of a new experience since I always planned ahead and bought enough Tritium for long voyages.
