Into the dark I #3

Onto the Sanguineous Rim

After my break on the moon and more material gathering I felt ready to continue my journey and jumped from system to system without finding anything particularly interesting. This led to a monotony in my jumping routine which was crudely interrupted by the ships alarms. Before I could react the ship dropped out of supercruise and the wheels started to come of in the cockpit. After the first moment of panic I realised that the ships systems did overheat because I fired up the jump drive while still in the full radiation of the star.
Luckily I did react quickly enough and my trusty ship is build to run fairly cool so after venting the fumes out of the cockpit the system check showed that the damage was only minor and not even worth powering up my AFMU.

I did make some discoveries, but mainly planets I could map out in detail.

In one of the systems out here I actually came along a strange degraded emission in the system and decided to check it out. Al the way out here I found the wreck of a ship and a lot of limpets floating in space. What was  this about and what did happen? There was not more to find so it will probably stay a mystery.

Further jumps brought me into the Sanguineous Rim and therefore out of the Orion Spur for the first time for me. Very exciting.
