The Start
After much anticipation, preparations and dedication, the day has finally arrived to engage ourselves in a long voyage of approximately six months. This is my first expedition into the void of the galaxy. A friend of mine managed to convince me to take it on myself and to take it as a challenge to deviate from the normal day to day routine and explore some of the vastness of space.
We all met at the squadron's home system, 'Hajangai' where a lot of other CMDRs were gathered in front of the Schwann Port station ready to start the voyage with a mass jump.
From there we separated our ways and headed to the first POI - Star of India. But before venturing my way there, I decided to visit a couple of more systems. To my surprise I jumped to a system that had a Notable Stellar Phenomena.
I continued my voyage, going down the galactic plain, to 40 Pegasi and 31 Pegasi. I stopped there for the night as the voyage was quite overwhelming.
The next day, after a cup of coffee and a small snack, I turned on the engines and jumped out to Supercruise. Headed west to Veil Nebula West. This would be my second time visiting this wonderful nebula. Got around a couple of systems, however the one I liked best was Veil West Sector DL-Y d68
I disembarked with my Scarab SRV and admired the view for a couple of minuets.
From the Veil Nebula West I plotted a course to the Pelican and North America nebulas. I could see them clearly from where I was, and wanted to explore them from the vicinity. Along the way, the DSS scanner detected some Biological signals and landed on this body to scan these Bios. Had to change the Pilot suit to the Artemis suit.
Frameshift jump after jump, I finally made it near the Pelican and the North America nebulas.
After scouting the systems over there, and admire the views from different angles, it was time to start heading our way to the first POI - Star of India. I started jumping system when I arrived to a particular system that had three black holes and a O type main star - HD 193576. The distorted lensing effect from the black hole was astonishing.
After acquired a lot of cartographic data as well as codex and genetic information, I decided to pay a visit to an old friend I met when I was still at college. After a tough life back in the bubble, he decided to explore the galaxy. He reached Sadr Logistics Depot and met with his other half. He's an engineer in the Sadr Region Sector GW-W c1-22 system, a system in the Sadr Region nebula.
I contacted him but since his working shift was not yet passed, I decided to go for a drink and wait for him there.
After half an hour we finally met and shared our many adventures. I got back to my ship, inspected the maintenance works, and headed out from the Asteroid station, to proceed to my final destination for the day.
After a couple of jumps I made it to the Star of India which is a large blue 09 Class V star, approx. 2,000 LYs 'west' of Sol in the heart of the Sadr Region. This massive star was named after the famous 'Star of India' sapphire, one of the largest gems of that type. The gem almost flawless and is unusual in that it has stars on both sides of the stone.
There was one of the squadron carriers there the 'TFC Candle in the Void'. I requested permission to dock. Headed to one of its exquisite restaurants, had dinner and headed back to my quarters to rest for tomorrow's voyage.
