The Guardian Ruins
It was that time again to leave for my next trip. This time I needed to reach the fourth Way Point. So I left Rohini (Eudaemon Anchorage) and headed to the next POI. Destination set to PSR J1901+0716 - This pulsar was the subject of research in the early 21st century for the unusual changes in the length of the pulses generated by the fast-rotating neutron star. The pulse length of 644 milliseconds decreases for 'tens of pulses' and then increases again. The cause for this behavior is unknown. A recent survey found many companion bodies ranging from class G stars down to tiny moons.
On the way there I discovered a system with a Notable Stellar Phenomena signals and it was worth to take a look. Happened to be some of the most beautiful I've ever came across.
After spending some time there, I continued with my journey and along the way scanned for Biological signals and eventually collected quite some samples.
While I was in taking a small break, having lunch, one of my friends, CMDR Banuninu sent me a msg to check how am I doing. He was looking forward to meet with me again in the Bubble and continue with his Combat training. Before I left for this expedition, he was at the Crystal Shards collecting materials to be able to engineer his FSD to Grade 5. I sent him my location as he was eager to know the distance between us, and while he was checking he got a POI that in the vicinity. You should pay a visit to Lysoovsky BH-L d8-26 (The Green Pentagon) he told me. I said, what? another Green Gas Giant? This gas giant in question had one of the poles a pentagon-shaped pattern in a bright green color. The Glowing Green Giant is surrounded by six landable moons which provide great views to enjoy, so I headed that way to have a look.
That was simply a rare view and spent the evening there. Turned off the Ship's lights and admired the glowing green gas giant. After resting a couple of hours, I calculated and set for the next destination. Thraikuae TI-T e3-1 - a planetary nebula consisting of a Black Hole. On my way there I continued to scan Biological samples and admire some of the systems out there.
A couple of Gas Giants offered quite some views as well, in particular a red ringed gas giant. Found a stable asteroid and spent some time there. With only a couple of jumps remaining, I was looking forward to check what this Black Hole had to offer.
There was another Planetary nebula consisting of a Black Hole a couple of Ly to the north, so after scanning yet another couple of Bios, I headed to Prielu TS-U e2-23, and then later to another one, this time a Neutron Star instead - Ploea Aim BA-A e42. These offered an opportunity to take a couple of photos to show my friends. Some of them had already arrived to the Way Point, but I had plenty of time ahead so I took it easy.
There was the Plio Aim ZS-W b4-0 (The Cobweb Nebula) I wanted to check out. Although it was out of my way, this Krait Phantom's jump range of 70Ly made it possible to have unplanned destinations.
Spend some days discovering systems within that region. The Comms prompted me a message from one of my fellow CMDRs friends in this expedition. She was anxious to hear my news, my whereabouts, my discoveries. She was already at the Waypoint, and instructed me to visit a system with a landable planet containing two particular Biological signals. Moreover there was one of the DSSA carriers that offered a variety of services for those CMDRs that might need while qin the blackness of space, away from the Bubble and civilization. The system was Prai Hypoo TX-B d4 (DSSA [IGAU] Paradox Destiny)
The IGAU Paradox Destiny was first conceived as a black hole research vessel, but changed focus when the DSSA project was announced. Its name and logo are meant to evoke imagery related to both of these goals and its chosen assignment, the Temple region. Thus, the name refers to the "information paradox" of black holes, and the logo incorporates a Penrose Diagram of parallel universes connected by a black hole.
Stationed in the Prai Hypoo (Àrsaidh) Nebula, there are many examples of space biology within a stone's throw of the carrier. The moon (2a) orbited by the carrier has geology, as well as sites containing Brain Trees and Bark Mounds.
A wide range of services are offered to the weary explorer who might want to sell their codex vouchers, or modify their ship with transferred modules. Stop in and have a drink at the bar!
Last destination was Waypoint 4 - Prai Hypoo GF-E c10 (Guardian ruins - Àrsaidh Nebula sites) - This system contains some of the Guardian ruins discovered within the Àrsaidh Nebula in the Prai Hypoo sector. Three ancient sites are located on the same orbital body. In January 3303, the engineer Ram Tah started his efforts to decrypt the meaning of the ancient obelisks, assisted by massive support of independent pilots. Using new technology developed by Ram Tah that allowed the decoding of alien data patterns embedded within the obelisks, more and more information regarding the site and its constructors (an alien race referred to as ´The Guardians´) has been assembled and presented to the galactic community.
That was it. I headed to one of the TFCS Carriers to hand in all my Cartographic Data, register my newly discovered systems, and hand in the Biological samples at the Vista Genomics Labs.
As I returned back to my quarters, I received a Comms message from the Pilots' Federation and was rewarded with the Prestige Elite II rank.
