After having taken a rest for a while this one proceeded his jump schedule as planned - from Waypoint #2 Flyua Dryoae DG-M D8-3 toward Waypoint #3 Synuefuae CM-J D10-42, where the first DSSA fleet carrier of the expedition was waiting for the arrival of a tiny ship from the west. The distance between the two waypoints was a little less than 3,800 Ly, which required 55 FSD jumps of his Diamondback Explorer to complete.

A subtle difference of this leg compared from the one between the Bubble and #2, was the fact that he started jumping in the systems that did had a Water World or two. Every time he found those through FSS he would head over to the planet to perform Detailed Surface Scanner. A number of WWs got to have the name of Godthab as their first discoverer.
Earth-Like Worlds kept being very rare during this leg.

DSSA Artemis Rest
-------------------------------------------------
System: SYNUEFUAE CM-J D10-42
Planet: 2
Place: DSSA Artemis Rest (K1B-75W)
-------------------------------------------------

DSSA Artemis Rest was a fleet carrier anchoring close to the rare ringed Earth-Like World, located roughly 1,000 Ly away from the system's main star. This beautiful Victory-class fleet carrier owned by Artemis Corporation seemed to have saved quite a few number of commander's lives who had troubles while traveling long distance in Outer Orion Spur and managed to reach the deck of the carrier before getting blasted to space dust.

No other ships were on the deck when this one touched down onboard, but inside the carrier a lot of crew members were seen on the corridors, working hard here and there. Having cooled his dry throat with cold beer at the carrier bar he searched for the carrier redemption office, hopefully to trust his silent travel company (aka occupied space pod) to the office manager - to no avail. DSSA Artemis Rest did not have the redemption office, which meant that he needed to continue to travel together with the quiet buddy for a little more while until he could find the office onboard the fleet carriers ahead.

Regina Clay, Office Manager of Universal Cartographics

Universal Cartographics had their offices onboard and this one sold all the scan data he saved on his ship to them. Regina Clay, the office manager of UC quickly arranged millions of credit payments into his account. She let him know that in the neighborhood of the carrier, little number of system data had been collected at higher and lower latitudes; she said it would always be more than welcome if he could support collecting data of such.

To meet to Regina's expectation this one made a climbing flight, then diving - heading to the lower, lowest altitude of the sector. Strangely almost no neutron stars nor white dwarfs were seen, while several of those were seen in the other certain sectors at the high and low altitudes. He was out in the black for a couple of days, scanning systems, scouting on the planet or satellite surfaces.

Regina looked pleased and satisfied when he showed up at the office counter again, showing off his mobile device that could transfer another bulk batches of priceless information into the database of Universal Cartographics.

He stayed onboard and near DSSA Artemis Rest for another couple of days until he started plotting route to the next Waypoint #4.

CMDR Godthab out.
