Time since departure: 2 HoursDistance from Sol: 4000 LY
Distance from Colonia: 17,000 LY
Hello everyone, it has been some time since my last log. I recently departed from Deciat and I am now en route to Colonia. The ship is doing well, and I have high morale. So far, I have not found any place to land and call base camp. Slightly disappointing, but I hope I can land somewhere soon. So far only one major incident has occurred, but other than that I am doing fine.
Chapter 1: First Leg
During the first leg of the trip, I set course for a neutron star that I could enter the Neutron Highway from. On my way, I discovered a beautiful desert planet, about 400 LY from Sol.
The system had nothing else remarkable, so I continued on. Afterwards, I entered the Neutron Highway and began jumping. The trip went well, and I was making progress fast. After awhile, a module I had forgotten on my first trip came in handy. Noticing my FSD was at 85%, I stopped near a Neutron Star to use my AFMU and repair. After that, I continued onward.
Chapter 2: Near Disaster
After awhile, I exited the highway to search for interesting systems. However, while I was fueling up, I zoned out and hit the EZ. After the cooldown was over, I aimed my ship at a 90 degree angle upwards to prepare to enter supercruise. However, I had not realized that the targeting computer was still set to jump to the next system. So when it told me to align with the target, I was surprised, since I thought I was just going into supercruise. But then I realized. I pointed my ship at the next system but then I noticed the ship was still moving almost directly up. I then had to wait for the trajectory to align with the star. This let my ship have enough time charging my FSD over the star that I reached 200% Heat! Once I jumped out, I checked my modules. Most of them were heavily damaged, and i had to use up most of my remaining AFMU ammo. It is at this point that I am now. Thus, I will conclude the log.
