The Second Voyage, Part 3: Road to Colonia

15 May 2020PlanetaryOlive
Time since departure: 22 Hours
Distance from Sol: 7000 LY
Distance from Colonia: 15,000 LY

Hello everyone, I have made some progress since last time. I have recently repaired and restocked, and have completed the first waypoint I set for myself: Nyeajaae IT-M c9-19. I expect this will be the longest of these logs, as only now am I entering deep space. I have discovered many new systems, and have taken a few screenshots. However, some bad news I recently discovered is that for some reason when doing my calculations, I thought Colonia was only 11,000 LY away. But I have since remembered the actual distance of 22,000 LY. So now, my nav computer tells me I have 290 jumps remaining, not bad!

Chapter 1: Detouring to Eagle's landing

Almost exactly where I left my last log off, I diverted to a known station in the area: Eagle's landing. It was about 1,300 LY from where I had suffered a near disaster, so I figured the benefits of getting repairs and restocking the AFMU would outweigh the downside of having to prolong the trip. After a while, I had finally arrived! I was able to get repairs and sell my 5 million credits worth of data. After that, I departed the system to reroute to the next location: Nyeajaae IT-M c9-19.

Chapter 2: First Waypoint

After departing, I set a course for Nyeajaae IT-M c9-19. The system was about 1,800 LY away, so it took me roughly 30 jumps to arrive. The trip was mostly uneventful, though. When I arrived, I was greeting with a stunning view of a glowing green gas giant, seen here:

After that, I landed on the first moon of the planet, discovering a water geyser hotspot on the horizon:

After that, I took off. It is at this point that I am now. I will now end the log.
