The Road to Exploration Elite: Log Entry 1

Recently, I have been yearning to return to exploration, I have been aiming to get another Elite under my belt, and this trip to Colonia aboard the Petronas gave me the opportunity to achieve my goal. I have big plans for an exploration multicrew route in my Anaconda, which is being modified for Neutron Star hopping, which will help us a lot, as I plan to get exploration Elite out here.. that way when I decide to go back to the bubble, I can finish off the Combat Elite.
I have been applying for Veteran status with the New Pilots Initiative for a while now. I can finally get along with a squadron without major tensions arising. And in light of this.. I plan to take a crew of three (Myself included) on my Anaconda to explore the unknown, where that may take us, I am unsure, but I am positive it will all be worth it in the long run.
Since IPG, I've gotten stronger, but I still abide by their terms by staying outside of their space. However that is not why I am writing this, But with the help of CMDR SLBA, and inspiration from his escort ship used in the Distant Worlds 2 Expedition last year. I officially rechristened my Corvette, (which was a major upgrade to everything except jump range): F.S.V Equinox. This ship has been through a lot.. and I can't wait for it to see it's full potential reached.
In a couple hours from the time of this log being posted to the galaxy, I will have set out on my expedition into the Unknown, and my primary goal is to get as far as the Galactic Centre, and Back. Every member of the crew will be on analyzing the planetary bodies in each system, to make it faster getting through the mapping process. I pray that all goes well.
