Well, we've just gotten back from the Formidine Rift Expedition. Father would have been both proud, mother would have been mortified. Proud that I had expanded my knowledge of the galactic world we live in, making discoveries I never thought I could. Mortified that I had broken free of the constraining shackles of Imperial cotillions, hooking up with this squadron of disparately bizarre characters, some professional, some questionable, but each with their story to tell. Spending time outside the Bubble has taken the pressure off my mind; it's given me some measure of desire, a quantum of hope of escaping the people who are after me. But how foolish I've been. Taking that journalist's job with the Office of Corporate Affairs has hardly helped me keep a low profile - I'm all over the broadcast news - and yet somehow, I feel more free than I've ever been in the last twelve months.Perhaps another trip far from Saisiyat will do me further good.
