Fighting the Federation in the Azaladshu System - I entered the combat zone, deploying my Cobra Mk 3s weapons. Entering the fray on the secessionists. I locked onto a Viper Mk3 we began to duel, me using my rail guns and small multi cannon, the enemy also using rail guns. We fought for several minutes, eventually I had managed to knock out their thrusters, going into a spin the enemy drifted away from the main swarm of fighting ships. I gave chase, using all my weapons and all my pips to weapons, wanting to destroy the ship before it got too far away. launching a heatsink to enable continuous firing I rammed the viper to finish it, knowing I'd have plenty of time on my way back to the fray to re charge shields. Opening the module panel I saw my thrusters had took a beating, as had the rail guns. I used my A.F.M.U to fix up the thrusters as they were the more damaged and the more vital.As i got back in the fray, I selected a ASP Explorer as my next target. After only a few seconds I realised I was not only fighting the Asp, but also receiving fire from another enemy ship. I fought on like this for a minute or two, having all but destroyed the Asps power plant. Then I lost my shields. Multiple rail gun slugs tore through my ship. Moments later both my rail guns were registering as destroyed, then my thrusters began to cut out, their boost function failing. I immediately engaged my frame shift drive and kept hitting boost, until thankfully the thrusters fired. All the time my shield is down and I'm taking hits from rail guns and laser fire. I keep popping heatsinks and trying to get enough distance from the enemy for my FSD to engage. By the time I managed to boost clear and jump out of the heat, I had completely lost scanners, my canopy was down to below 50% and the thrusters were showing only 22% integrity. Not to mention my shredded nerves and pounding heart. I wasn't sure i was going to make it out of that one.
Opening the system map, it was difficult to find a settlement or facility that wasn't mixed up in current the fighting. deciding to head towards a neutral agricultural facility on the planet we'd been fighting above, I punched in the location and locked on.. then realising i would first have to fix and re-boot my scanners. luckily I had saved a few scraps in my AFMU, for an emergency such as this. I had enough to restore my scanners to 2%, enough to make contact with the agricultural settlements docking control. I have now docked at Coumbassa Nutrition Biome. I am currently filling in this report and sipping a flask of Absinthe whilst awaiting the repairs I have paid for. I think I'll go for a walk and see what they're growing here while their engineers work on my ship.
