Reaching the Lagoon Nebula

Journey to Colonia Log 2 Stardate July 29 3307.I have made it to Lagoon Nebula which houses a remote asteroid base which I can use for repairs while I wait for a ride. The Lagoon systems seem to be well populated for how far away from Sol they are. I also picked up a tourist megaship on radar which I tried to hitch hike on. Unfortunately the megaship was under constant attack by a Lagoon research faction so it was impossible to dock. I tried fighting off a couple waves but after running low on ammunition I had to retreat.
I think it could be a week until the next megaship passes through...
I cant keep jumping to Colonia with my ship that has a 20ly jump range. Also i cant have a smaller explorer ship transported out to the Lagoon Nebula since the entire nebula lacks a shipyard.
