Real Talk - Update 15 Surface to Air Assault Missions...

The true, true about Surface to Air Thargoid Invasion...

The number of regular Scouts is insane. (I think this could be adjusted DOWN a bit). The Scouts can still be avoided, but when fighting a Basilisk or Medusa, be prepared to repair MORE often than previously.

(New Variant) Glaive Hunters DO exist on these invasions! They are hard to kill, the graphics on them are incredible, and their petals spin around and they have crazy powers. (Very nice graphics tho) I believe they have the colonic lightning, they can disable modules, they are faster than a speeding locomotive, and they shoot caustic missiles like it has an unlimited supply. The reload is quick, they are agile, and they love to make the large ship pilots cry. They don't seem to have a ton of health, but they can call for help so that's a thing.

A ton of missions have been added at the station under attack. This is a huge plus to the amount of "extra" credits and mats you can collect during the skirmish. I made about 190 Million in one sitting. It was well worth it to be able to pick up multiple "Single Cyclops" missions etc.

Most everything else is about the same.

Regular Scouts are the most troubling though. They seem to appear and vanish at will. They fight in larger packs than before. I have had upwards of 10 or more firing on me at the same time.

At the end of the skirmish I was at, there were only 4 left, and none of them got "lost". I found that to be wonderful as no one wants to fly around for 10 minutes searching for that single lost Scout.

I will give the changes about an 8 out of 10 for a nice upgrade for more seasoned Ground to Air Invasions. Novice pilots will need to watch their six a lot more closely as the scouts will shave your health in a hot second.
