Woke up hung over, in jail for a bar fight at Dahan Gateway. What a way to spend Christmas. It's amazing some still celebrate the Earth based Holiday. Was on my way back to the bar when I ended up taking on a job. Wasn't into it but the money was good. Took me to Camarda Terminal in the Sachmet System. Nothing like 30+ jumps to sober you up. As I cruise I catch myself thinking of him. He was a kid like me, caught up in a world of violence just trying to survive. Truth is had it gone the other way I wouldn't be here typing this right now. Funny how the Universe works. The regret doesn't linger long, survival of the fittest right?! After docking I decided to maintain my sobriety and get a good night's rest. Sleep shuts the haunting off for a few hours at least. Back to the stars in the morning.
