The Mission Continues

Me and Lyman just finshed our Mission for Aisling. Currently on our way back to Cubeo to turn in the Datapad we recovered for her. Don't know what's on it, don't care.End game is the focus.
After a month of Deep Cover working for Zachary Hudson we were rewarded with some new Hardpoints for The Ripley. needless to say Lymans happy like a Pig in Shit.
Zachary won't be once he realizes we bailed. Assassins will be inbound.........again
"Can't wait to try these buggers out mate!" He says.
"Oh, I'm sure we'll get our chance." I assure him.
Although deep down I know he means on Archon Delaine. Personally I don't care, as long as it's after I get my answers.
"We get to Cubeo and we give Aisling what she wants who's to say say she don't just bump us off." He asks.
"Why go through the trouble of having her guys install the Prismatics before hand? She could of waited until after the job was done. Doesn't make sense." I reply.
"Fuck that, it makes perfect sense mate. Especially if they were to help facilitate our escape should it come down to it. Helping us in our mission therefore helping her. She don't give a flying fuck all about keeping her word or care about a couple of scurvy dogs like us. People like her don't."
I consider his point for a moment.
"Guess we'll see." I tell him.
Lyman gets up from his chair and starts to exit the cockpit then stops.
"If it goes down what are you prepared to do Konner?"
"Depends what options she leaves me with Lyman, but I think she'll give us the info about how Delaine ties into all this. Then we go from there."
"Then what mate?"
"We get answers, then justice. Cubeo is two jumps out. We'll find out soon enough."
Lyman laughs.
"Fine, I'll be an optimist like you for the moment, just hope you're not thinking with your pecker fella." He turns and leaves.
No sooner Lyman exits a new Contact registers on the Radar.
Cat's out of the bag. Hudson knows we're gone and what we took.
I hit the intercom.
"Lyman we have company, proceed to hanger and prepare for interdiction!"
"Copy that" Lyman responds.
Within moments they have us, I submitt willingly.
A smile spreads across my face as I deploy Hardpoints.
Not gonna lie, excited to try out these Pacifiers just as much as Lyman.
Launch Fighter.
Mission delayed for the moment, but it WILL continue.
