Aw, a message from Pilots Federation...
The Pleiades Concordat has requested deliveries to support the Far God cult in the Panjabell system.
Members of the secretive Thargoid-worshipping sect have gathered in huge numbers, and are preparing to outfit one or more megaships for religious purposes.
...What?! You want me to do what?! No, you can't be damn serious about that. What the hell is going on in this Galaxy?..
So, two weeks ago PF published a request from Delaine, his Kumo Crew and their new strange friends from that Blue Oyster... Blue Viper... Ah, nevermind. They were working on a new Onionhead-derived drug and... Wanted a help with that! Okay, okay, I know that Delaine has enough power and influence to bribe or threaten any wimpy pencil pusher who dares to stand in his way and you probably know his methods, Imperial slavery would be like applying to a respectable job compared to what his goons do to people. And yet there were hundreds of pilots who wanted to help him.
But this?! This is just beyond any explanations. A Thargoid-worshipping cult asking for assistance with building and decorating their fetish boats so they could roam around and spread their mindless babblings. And they also placed bounties on everyone who disagrees. What does it mean? Countless hordes of morons who can't think further than their Kill Warrant Scanner will be fighting on their side, because they just don't care about anything but profits. And maybe that sweet feeling of 'doing the good thing', without a trace of thought about what's good or bad.
So, now killing people for the sake of Thargoids is good?
Look. Thargoids are the goddamn enemies of humankind. And it's proven by years of time and millions of lives. They won't negotiate, they won't trade, they can only ignore you or attack you if they want, or if you have something that they need. Be it a useless meta-alloy trinket or a whole planet with people living on the surface or above, in orbitals. They will hunt you and dissect you just for their wicked goddamn fun. Or someone who's dear to you, they don't care. They attack unarmed ships, they attack civilians, they attack defenceless people. They may have their own infightings, but when they meet humans, blood is going to be spilled. And due to extreme stupidity of many, including those cults, this blood is more often red than green.
Hells, even I sometimes think that I should drop these daily questions of troubled human society and its greedy gluttonous superpowers and corporations, and join the anti-xeno forces. Society will always have its problems. And there will be no more society to build and shape if the Thargoids will overcome.
And now you want more blood because a bunch of weird suicidal fanatics can pay for it? And you want more blood of people who may fall into their messy religious crap in the future?
Go kiss a Thargoid then, and don't come back alive.
