The AXDF was a real squadron that flew together during the early COVID lockdowns, achieving a couple of top 10 finishes in the AX rankings, and many top 20 finishes as well.
Sadly the squadron is no longer active or flies together anymore. So why keep it going?
I've had no desire to join an active squadron since the real AXDF disbanded, but I have fond memories of our time flying together, developing our AX skills and hunting Thargoids. And a fictionalised version of the AXDF became a major part of 'Journey to Elysium: The Jordanna Frost story', which was an E:D fanfiction story that I wrote, and posted here on INARA. And so, for those reasons, I wanted to preserve the AXDF name, as a tribute to good memories of good times, flying and fighting alongside good friends. Plus, also, after so much time with it there, I kind of missed the squadron name and logo being on my profile.
The squadron exists here and in game, but will never be active again. So, if you did want to join, just so that you can say you are a part of a squadron, but don't want to actively participate in one, or have to interact with anybody, then you are welcome to request to join this one if you want to.
