The Black Calls

14 Dec 2021xxNOkeefexx
I've just arrived in Colonia after a long journey from the Bubble, more specifically the home system of my Squadron The New Pilots Initiative. It was a very mentally taxing journey however. From the hours of staring at the bright displays of my Lakon Asp Explorer straining my tired eyes and the spans of time where you see nothing interesting at all. There were many times I just put the ship on autopilot and went to rest in my quarters, maybe read some Galnet and take a nap.

This however is nothing compared to the moments I actually explore for. Finding undiscovered Neutron Stars firing their beams of extreme radiation into the abyss forever, then pulling into this beam and feeling the ship creak and metal groan as the panels of the bodywork strain under the immense power of these stars and lose control of the systems temporarily knowing if you dont do this right you will lose your life. Jumping into a new system and coming face to face with a Black Hole, and your navigational computer plotted your jump JUST outside of the even horizon forcing you to quickly turn your thrusters to maximum and hope you didn't enter its gravity well. The moments of pure wonder as you supercruise through a system to investigate some stellar phenomena and seeing the planets, stars, asteroids, comets, and all the beautiful and haunting things that are out there for us. The Milky Way is OURS to explore and see what we wish. What are we doing sitting planetside at all??? Why isn't every person doing everything they can to explore and see more of this universe we inhabit. There are places even BEYOND what we can discover....Mysteries that are begging to be solved and calling us. Raxxla, Thargoids, Black Holes, the furthest reaches of our galaxy have yet to be explored. We MUST discover, we MUST wander and we MUST find the answers.

The Black shimmers with the anticipation of our journeys Commanders....won't you open your ears and listen to her calls?
Do you like it?
