We continued our journey today towards our first scientists destination, only jumping approximately 1,200 light years from the last planet I had talked about. In case anyone was wondering, we didn't stay on that planet long to find any active volcanoes, rather the scientists and crew were eager to continue making headway in hopes of finding even greater treasures deeper into the galaxy. As we continued jumping we noticed that there were many systems that had already been logged by other commanders. We may be on a common track towards the center and a course adjustment may be needed to be able to blaze our own trail. For now our eyes are set to our first destination still 2,200LY away.
Moral is still good among the crew, although I'm not sure how they will feel when I tell them that our final destination is still 16,000LY away. As we continue to get closer and closer to the center, I have noticed the horizon to begin to brighten up and the stars are getting more dense around us. This is nice because it requires less thinking when it comes to fuel scooping. Hopefully as the stars get more dense, it'll be easier to find our own trail through the stars, after all, with such a vast galaxy, its a little annoying to keep running into other commanders discoveries.
For now we have decided to land on a planet in the Smojue MR-W D1-32 system on planet A 1. It's the closest planet to the sun and very rugged. No volcanism or anything much of interest here other than being of high metal content. For now we will rest here before continuing on into the cosmos.
Our current location on this planet is:
-39.3462
-133.1217
