So sorry about the late timing... Until just yesterday I haven't been feeling up to writing, but now I'm okay, so no worries. I'll get more creative and detailed in future posts.
So finally we're here, at the technical beginning of Nikki's monumental storyline arc and development. Here is the journey both physically and metaphorically that will make her into who she's supposed to be. To answer someone's question out there, yes the songs I feature in each heading do hold a significant importance to the background of the story. In some instances they give away secrets to the future of the story And yes I know, I keep changing up the overall format of each post - this format I hope is the final one that I'll stick with. I'm using quotes for actual quotes and regular text for everything else.

Me: Well now where have I heard that before? Whitson Hub... It sounds familiar.
We were on our way there. Lori told me if we were going to have an adventure, that would be the place to start.
Lori: Everyone goes there at some point. It's a famous station in the core systems, good place to let loose, meet and talk to people, hang out and other stuff. Kinda popular for being called "Whitson Pub" too. We can find out things that are happening around the bubble, but also have some fun in the process!
When we got there, I noted this cozy feeling about the station's atmosphere. Some things would remind me of Azeban City, but this place felt more...homey ironically. I let Lori lead the way as she showed me around, we kept pausing here and there as people would recognize her and start up a quick chat. The lobby was very lively here, lots of moving, talking and expressions all over.
We made it to the bar and food part, something called a "grille", strangely a word I had never seen before. It wasn't long before somebody else was approaching , surely another pilot out there who knows the likes of my new friend Lori, except they seemed to part into my direction. I quickly glanced at Lori and she just smiled a little - and they took a seat with us and decided I was the one to talk to...
Recruiter: New pilot, right?
He was just smiling away, but I could tell it wasn't some stupid prank or anything - he seemed really genuine.
Me: Uhm... Yeah, I uh started out like a month and a half ago or so.
Dakota: (warmly chuckling a little) Yeah I'm Dakota, I represent the New Pilots Initiative. I knew I haven't seen you around before, just wanted to get the chance to give you this and make sure you feel good and welcome, that's all.
He handed me this pamphlet thing - it read out like a recruitment into a fan club or a more friendly version of a military branch.
Me: Oh, it's a squadron right? I'm guessing for new pilots and such.
Dakota: Right, right. We have a really strong presence around these systems, and are always expanding to more.
A couple menus get dropped off at our table.
Me: Well yeah I'll certainly look into it, thanks.
I glance through the menu while he returns to his own thing.
Lori: Actually, you should totally have the chicken alfredo, it's great here.
Not feeling like making any decisions, I nod and we order.
Me: So how long have you been flying?
Lori: Oh boy, I think roughly 6 years now. I've seen most of the bubble, been to Colonia twice...
Me: My mom's in Colonia - she moved out there actually the same day that I started learning to become a CMDR. That was actually a pretty rough day.
Lori: What about daddio? What's the story there?
Me: Oh I never told you did I? Uhm.. CMDR Black is my father. He died when I was little, I never knew him.
It took a few seconds for me to look up and realize that her whole expression changed. And why wouldn't it - he was a galactically known and infamous assassin and pirate etc.
Lori: You mean THE CMDR Black?
Me: Yyyyyyyyep.
Lori: Ooooooh so his last name was Black and that's why he's called that... I always thought it was just a nickname like from "into the black".
When we left, we seemed to walk around for hours - there were endless walkways and huge machinery doing refinement work and even this museum thing there that showed off things and facts from history. Eventually we even came across a pilot simulation room with holograms everywhere representing celestial bodies, stations, satellites etc. We didn't have that over at Mawson Dock, I learned everything from their computer systems. Whitson Hub seemed to be a very wealthy station.
Me: So where to next on our adventure?
And she just smirked. Oh boy.
THANKS
Special thanks to New Pilots Initiative for being willing to be put into the story.
