My name is Clara , Commander V Clara.
Welcome to my most recent set of personal logs intended to chronicle my search. I will be calling this set of logs The Guardian Chronicles.
Let’s begin
An interesting mystery has crossed my database, a few mission reports from pilots that have encountered ruins and structures from an extinct spacefaring species. They are dubbing this species The Guardians.
At first I thought it would just be a nice distraction to study, but now I am finding there’s a mystery here and possible access to advanced technologies. The reports say that blueprints for weapons and Power Systems have been found. And these systems are more advanced than our own.
According to Galnet, there is currently an arms race underway to build massive amounts of weapons from this species to defend our region of space.
But I am more interested in the larger mystery. Where was their home? Where were their populated systems? Derelict ships? Colony planets? No one knows.
As it turns out, none of the self proclaimed experts on this subject, Ram Tah or Cannon, have even bothered to excavate any of the sites beneath the surface. They just hacked the functional Guardian tech and data mined it.
The records they left behind indicate that they had a war with our current antagonists, the Thargoids, and drove them from our region of space. All other concerns seem to have become secondary at that point. As we are currently under attack from the same enemy.
So I am gathering all the Intel I can on the guardians. Their species, their technology, And their creations.
I now have the ships I need for a real Expedition and I am farming to upgrade them. This may take 10 to 12 months.
The word is out that I will be putting together a team very soon to hunt for this elusive region of space and all of its secrets. The end goal? The Guardian home systems.
And I will be using this log to chronicle my search.
I will also have to drag powa into this
I can’t imagine leaving him out.
