Witch Head Nebula

I've never actually been out to Witch Head Nebula until recently. It was always a close by nebula to explore, with pretty colors, so I was bound to head over there at some point. I was just browsing around on my galaxy map when I saw that it had a few abandoned ports, which caught my interest. I didn't know we even had colonies that far in that direction? Regardless, I wanted to see what was up. After a few jet-cone boosts, I was there.
I really had no idea that thargoids were the cause of the ports being abandoned. My first clue should have been the witchspace interdiction that I received trying to go deeper into the nebula. It was a sobering sight, to say the least. It was a grim reminder of ongoing conflicts that we're facing against them. With the constant news of humanity's victories against the 'goids on Galnet recently, it wouldn't surprise me if we recolonized those long abandoned ports in the future.
There was a megaship, though! I rarely visit mega ships, so I thought it could possibly be online. But alas, Just debris. It's hard to say that the thargoids aren't justified in their response. Was there ever justification for such devastation and destruction, on either side? God bless everyone who was a part of the colonies who was destroyed, shattered among the stars.
