Well this has been fun. Never thought I would be loading up a cutter with a ton of civilians and no shields then flinging myself through a Thargoid blockade. But here I am doing run after run and getting hyperdicted by the bugs each time I leave SOL for the rescue ships. Its kinda creepy that they only seem to pull me out when I have a full load of people. Like they can tell or something. Not sure I like that at all.
The actual operation is pretty simple. When they pull you out start boosting, dump a heat sink, fire off ECM and chaff when you see missiles inbound...and keep that up till you can jump. Typically I take some damage but can get out. The cutter is a tank of a ship and two fully engineered hull reinforcements seem to help a lot.
I did grab my Krait and went out and beat up on some of the bugs lurking around in Sol as well. Super Satisfying to take the fight to them now and then when you are mostly a target while doing evacuation runs.
Next step... The Titan is coming. No idea what will happen next but we have been good at cracking those. Hoping its the same situation and this is not some kind of super titan... Will have to wait and see.
