The Return to Kamas

After two years away on a highly classified operation that pulled me away from the work of the BlackGuard Dragoons, I was now just two jumps away from my home station. When I left the BGD, it was quite short notice. Even worse there wasn’t much I could tell as to why. I left a message at the “Beg to Differ Bar” just telling the higher ups that, “something has come up and not sure when I’ll return. I know we all have our pasts and sometimes that past calls in owed favors.” I wasn’t too surprised when I didn’t get any messages wanting more information.
I was much more grey now; much more aged then just two years should show on a face. I made my final calculations for my next jump and wondered if any of the old crew was still around? Phelbore, Stryker, or any of the others? Would they still be active? Would they let me back in? More importantly are they still alive?
“ Frame shift drive charging,” the computer interrupts. “4…3…2…1”
Ah Kamas, so good to be back. I approach the station and request docking,
“ Welcome back commander a lot has changed enjoy your stay.” The control tower says.
I park my ship at the specified docking bay and step out of my chieftain, I take a look around, “ Boy a lot has, really, changed.” I say beneath my breath. The Kamas Gold Clan is out of power, and I don’t see any BGD Ships.
I make my way to the housing quadrant, to my barracks room and wait for the bio scan to finish. Finally the door opens and I am home. I head to the comms desk and check for messages, nothing. But my creds and ships are accounted for, now for a shower and a stiff drink.
An hour later I walk into the “Beg to Differ” and say to the BarBot, “ Whiskey on the Rocks.” That cued a tone from the bot. The BGDs’ had set up a discrete phrase with the BarBot that when said by certain people, it would send an alert to other BGD members to inform them who just arrived at for some RnR.
I went to a little table in the back and as the ServerBot brought my 4th round a comms tablet was delivered, it’s from Phelbore, “ Hold There, Mike, I am Three weeks out, we will catch up.”
That works for me , I want to do what I do best, and start to change this system back to the way it’s supposed to be.
