The view of the planets 4a and 5 is amazing. Two earth like worlds so close together and 5 is ringed.
The inhabited planet near Hovgaard city is also a marvel. It must have a large population, as the dark side glitters brilliantly with the lights from human settlement. Adrian pointed out that the orbital and rotational periods are equal. Tidally locked. Like Earth's moon. He pondered that the lives of those humans would be interesting. You could live on the Sunny side and never see the night. Great place to keep tanned and live at the beach. Solar panels could be used with little or no battery back-up, provided the clouds were co-operative. On the Darkside the club scene would never end, and amateur astronomers could study the stars whenever they choose to.
But it seems that the tidally locked planets would be tough places to live. The dark side would be icy planets with high winds and storms. It would be a continuous ice age with thick glaciers perhaps hundreds of kilometers in depth. On the warm side there would be land available but they would be hot deserts. The prevailing winds would be from hot towards the cold. The dusky or twilight zoned that are located between the hot and cold areas might support plants and vegetation but they would be narrow in width. Most of the planet would have harsh and extreme conditions. So I'm not sure why the planet near Hovgaard looks so pleasant.
I have been interdicted twice tonight and was very glad to have Adrian in the wing. We received messages that 4 hunters had been sent to interdict us and prevent the deliveries. Chris Hopkinson found us an I submitted to his interdiction. He began firing at me immediately, as I fled, and my shields were degraded as Adrian engaged. I jumped to super-cruise but returned when Adrian's shields were down. We were certain of victory when Hopkinson dropped his cargo. Together we defeated Chris, destroyed his ship and picked up the jettisoned cargo
Eddie Fresh also caught up with us and met the same fate as Hopkinson. I evaded a couple other interdiction attempts and Adrian felt that I would have been successful on my own, but it was very reassuring to have him on my wing.
We finished the missions and I left Adrian at Dorsey Port. Afterwards I cleaned up the contacts by visiting Nobel base and then Hovgaard City. I slipped another to the ships that was sent to stop me as I approached Nobel base, but the whole operation was successful.
