Hyades Hijinks

I've received a message from my old CO, Commander Raychel Gunn, aka "Ray Gun", founder of the Gunn Runners and an expert laser sniper. She says things are heating up in the Hyades Cluster again and they're anticipating some interesting work prospects opening up. Rumor has it NMLA isn't as dead as everyone thought and they've been spending the downtime building up their forces for another dust up. Course, we don't have any evidence of any of this, but that's just how things are in the Hyades Cluster. One minute you're hearing crazy rumors about terrorists with super weapons and the next thing you know stations are exploding. I guess we'll see. If the Gunn Runners are expecting business, other mercs are too, and that might just mean the rumors are true. Mercs have a good nose for trouble, and the Hyades Cluster is synonymous with trouble. I'm still busy with my campaign, but if I get a chance I may take a trip out there and see if I can scare up some support for the revolution. I'd imagine there's a lot of people out there who are sick of the Superpowers meddling in everything. There's people like that everywhere, but those poor folks in Hyades really have gotten the worst of the most recent spate of it.Speaking of my campaign, while progress has been steady with the Order being driven out of system after system, those irritating hackers continue to be a thorn in my side. While they've failed to stop my campaign, I will admit they have annoyed me consistently for over a month. I really don't know why they try. They're not slowing me down, just annoying me. I know there's at least two of them, though so far they've managed to avoid me tracking them down. In the end, I can't be too bothered, as I've effectively got two Order supporters tied up trying to screw with me while I continue to dismantle their entire faction. If they want to waste their time this way, then so be it. I wonder how much longer they'll be motivated to keep this up in the face of utter failure. Perhaps I can get some of my old information warfare buddies in the Runners to help out. These days, I can certainly afford their services. I'm sure they'd be real amused when they found out I was their next client. I know Landmine would get a kick out of it. Maybe they'll let me drive a tank again. That was always fun.
