The Anti-Xeno Defence Force squadron has long been dedicated to defending Humanity from the Thargoids.

Although officially registered and headquartered in a small backroom office in the administration area of the Sherrill Orbital Starport in the Haki system, where the squadron was founded at the outbreak of one of the first Thargoid invasions of the Witch Head nebula following Humanity's establishment of colonies in the region, the AXDF is kept constantly mobilised on a number of fleet carriers, conducting patrols in various Thargoid infested systems, whilst maintaining constant readiness to be rapidly redeployed wherever needed at a moment's notice. As such it has seen action across the Pleiades, Witch Head, California and Coal Sack nebulae, as well as in the Bubble itself during its many years of dedicated service.

The squadron has no political affiliation, but does maintain a longstanding loyalty and commitment to the Aegis program.

The AXDF recruits pilots of all origins, backgrounds and experiences, with security vetting checks only being used to ensure that applicants have no ties to pro-Thargoid groups such as the Far-God cult. No other consideration is given to a pilot's past, and each applicant will have their own motivations for wanting to take up the fight against the Thargoid threat.

All AXDF fighters are united in their desire to defend and protect innocent human lives from the monstrous terror and atrocities inflicted by the Thargoids as part of their relentless pursuit of the complete eradication of our species, and, to that end, each and every AXDF fighter is prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice to stop them.

NOTE: Members are not required to actively take part or do anything if they don't want to, so if you did want to join, just so that you can say you are a part of a squadron, but don't want to actively participate in one, or have to interact with anybody, then you are welcome to request to join this one if you want to.

And a little encouragement to anyone thinking of getting involved in AX combat:

And a little demonstration of what can be achieved with a little practice and determination:

The AXDF first flew together during the early COVID lockdowns, achieving a couple of top 10 finishes in the AX rankings, and many top 20 finishes as well. A fictionalised version of the AXDF became a major part of 'Journey to Elysium: The Jordanna Frost story', which was an E:D fanfiction story that I wrote, and posted here on INARA. The squadron has provided many good memories of good times, flying and fighting alongside good people and good friends.
