Dark Echo was born from humble beginnings as a small pack of pirate-hunters in the Lave cluster, dedicated to protecting traders and defending the innocent. What began as a tight-knit group with a shared goal—to fight those who wished to bring harm to the peaceful and promote the freedom of trade—has since evolved into something far greater.
Founded in 2014, Dark Echo has grown into an Ironclad Brotherhood, tempered by fire and steel, bound by unity and purpose. Our mission remains steadfast: to protect the innocent and uphold justice through strategy and precision, not brute force. As one of the first player factions added to Elite Dangerous, we are now approaching our 9th anniversary in April 3305. Over the years, we have expanded into a formidable faction, controlling over 200 systems.
We are also proud founding members of GalCop, the Galactic Cooperative of Worlds, an alliance of factions that collectively controls hundreds of systems. Dark Echo remains an ally of the Hutton Truckers. Our headquarters at Snodgrass Orbital in Disci, just 103 light-years from Sol, stands within reach of the storied ‘Disci Disco Bar and Grill,’ where we continue to promote our enlightened, freedom-loving ethos.
Through strategic mastery and an unwavering commitment to our core principles, Dark Echo has become a force to be reckoned with in the galaxy, always standing firm to protect those who need it most.
