During the Amaris Civil War, Earth was in tatters.  It's people starved and worked themselves to death under their tyrant.  Until the Star League returned to finally restore democracy.  Billions of lives later, the Great Houses debated what to do now that their power had been restored.  Rather than cooperating like they had once done, they decided it was time to war among themselves to see who would rule alone.  Having left Earth in disgust after the decade long campaign to wrest control of it back to the people, the Great Founder, General Alexander Kerensky, took what was left of the Star League Defense Force to find a new home.  Centuries later, little remains of this first excursion.  Hyperspace still in it's infancy, the Exodus Fleet was scattered across the stars.  Under it's senior officer, Major Elizabeth Hazen, the group known as Clan Jade Falcon was among these many wanderers.

As humanity spread throughout the universe, the Federation was slowly born.  As the years became generations, and the Federation became too large to control itself, the Empire of Achenar was founded, after a diplomatic incident resulted in serious ideological differences concerning humanity's future on a galactic stage.  Long past, Clan Jade Falcon had settled in the regions that would become of Imperial interest.  Among one of those societies, was the division known as the Raptor Talon Galaxy; Under the original control of Star Colonel Amani (the unit was then known as the 79th Raptor Talons.)

Having chosen the Saffron system as their home, they watched the Empire spread it's influence.  Finding the ideals similar to their own, the Raptors were happy to finally have a meaning again.  Valuing honor, duty, and the pursuit of perfection, the Empire was everything that Earth was not, forever ago.  After the initial brawls died down, the Raptors swore their fealty to the Empress.  Their home planet of Sudetan was renamed Ectoplasm under the rule of the Empire.  The Raptors paid no mind, as it was a change on paper alone.  They continue to refer to it by it's original name to this day, almost as a point of stubborn pride.  

Having spent generations outside the influence of a larger government or authority, the Raptors learned how to be self sufficient.  They conducted their own commerce, industry, agriculture, trade, and military.  Little has changed since, just as any prior member of Clan Jade Falcon would have it.  Their isolationist attitude remains, preferring to keep their neighbors at arms length whenever possible, and showing little interest in being involved with others any more than trade requires.

However, when the Empire decided to institute slavery, the Raptors were among those that refused to abide.  None of this practice would ever occur within Saffron, and the Raptors were not above open hostilities with any slave traders that entered their space.  When Princess Aisling Duval began her rise to prominence, pledging to eradicate this foul practice, the Raptors signed on.  Still preferring to keep to themselves when able, Saffron remains a quiet area within the inhabited regions of the galaxy.  Should the Princess ever decide that an armed response is the only way to scrub the Empire of this stain on it's history, the Raptor Galaxy will be there.

Currently led by Galaxy Commander VTine, the Raptors allow themselves to disappear into the cracks; showing their claws only when needed.  They are fiercely proud of their heritage, and maintain the ancient names and genetic data of their original people.  With their Founders having died long ago, they have taken the Princess as their new deity.  When the time comes, the Exodus Fleet, led by the INV Kerensky, will be the tip of her spear.

Out of game, the Raptor Talon Galaxy is a gaming group that grew over the lifespan of Mechwarror Online.  Over the years, we quickly grew to prominence as the premier Clan Jade Falcon loyalist unit, and butted heads with the finest teams the game had to offer.  A regular on the competitive leagues, we were everywhere, with over 140 players at our highest number.  With MWO in it's death throes over the last six months, the RPTG has largely migrated to Elite as their primary game.  We welcome anyone who is looking for a team to play with.   If of interest, feel free to take a look through our website: https://rptg.weebly.com/  Within you will find our unit's history, and you are more than welcome to jump in our Teamspeak and roll with us at anytime.  We are primarily a North American group, though we usually have at least a few people on at any time.
