About The 100 Zeros Club

Origins: The exact origins of this organization are not known, only that it is more than three hundred years old. Rumor has it, that recruits undergo very unorthodox initiation rituals, involving strange, colorful headwear decorated with ancient aviation-themed elements.

The Ice Wars: Up until 3303, the leading factions of Asurasairu kept a firm grip on the system, mostly through high taxation of ice mining in the rings of Asurasairu 10. Air and water were so expensive, that hypoxia killed up to 20% of the working class in the so called "blue Summer", an economic bust, which caused widespread oxygen shortages in the system. Tensions were running high, and came to a boiling point during "The blockade". Federal forces entered the system, in an attempt to forcefully pacify the system, however a small corporation, formed by the remnants of the original settlers, was able to gather enough support to cut off the federal fleet's supply lines. Alliance Prime Minister Edward Mahon agreed to provide spare parts for recomission of the mothballed militia fleet of Asurasairu, in exchange for limited political influence. Facing this new threat, and with dwindling numbers, the Federal fleet was forced to retreat, and the system was once again free.

The Shadow Fleet: During the "Ice Wars" in 3303, which ended the crippling taxation of ice mining in the rings of Asurasairu 10, political assassinations were daily routine. Especially the factions which benefited from the status quo had a reputation to wipe out entire families, if a family member was known to be a political enemy. The 100 Zeros Club, former militia arm of the settlers, decidedly chose to remain largely anonymous for this exact reason, with the exception of "The five Ambassadors", who acted as the public face of the club. It is estimated, that "The Shadow Fleet" consists of about 100 commanders, which choose to stay out of the spotlight until they are needed again. This strategy seems to have proven to be very successful, given the losses the Federal forces suffered in the "White Winter" of November 3303.

Applicants: Any applicant, who wishes to join The Shadow Fleet, may send a request to any of the Ambassadors. However, due to the high number of applications, a reply is not guaranteed, and our ranks are almost filled. If the club chooses to provide more than 100 ranks in the future, additional applications may be accepted.
