The Convergence was born out of an informal group of commanders, each working for humanitarian aid and relief efforts. They rapidly came to the conclusion that their impact would be greater with pooled political advocacy, and now utilize their extensive armada and political pull to achieve these aims. Over time they have attracted a plethora of commanders, beginning with a few combat pilots who offered to destroy any resistance they encountered. Subsequently they expanded to include traders, explorers, miners, enterprising new commanders, and the occasional bandit. Today they remain a beacon of humanitarian aid and collaboration.
