Has there been any indication about what will happen with the guardian story in 3.0 ? Or if we will ever see any live ones in future updates ?

I believe that the new Ram Tah CG is the start.

Hi everyone, new guy here.

In my stories I just assumed the ships had some form of artificial gravity on them, especially the large Anacondas and Cutters. I didn't actually write it so much as I failed to acknowledge the lack of it. What's the official stance so I can conform moving forward?

There is no artificial gravity, that's why the stations rotate, and why some megaships like the Empire's Majestic-class have ring-shaped sections that spin.

Random is right.

How one approaches it in stories though... kinda depends? For me, I only acknowledge a lack of gravity if I need it for whatever reason. Knowing the character is moving around is usually all I care about.

Beyond that, magnetically enhanced footware is popular.

Thanks guys, I will remember that going forward. A little weird since Kirk had it on the Enterprise since the sixties. But I'll conform until it changes.

There's no gravity on our ships, and magboots are a thing, yet everyone's hair always stays perfectly in place all the time, which leads me to believe Elite has hairgel with Final Fantasy-levels of hold. Because your hair floats around, even in the microgravity of low Earth orbit, like on the ISS.

As a matter of fact...

Yeah we're not to happy about it, but that's cannon. No anti-grav for now. But it makes sense as the game is heavily based in science is there is no current scientific explanation for gravity aside from spinning.

Sucks though. Because, ya know...

space sex would have been cool.

Ha! Right. I'll have to give it a try now. Shouldn't be too bad as long as you determine ahead of time who gets to bump their head on a bulkhead.

We in the IWG have already researched the feasibility of sex in space, and we were crushed to discover that it is a near physiological impossibility (at least for men).

It's true. I was there. It was a very important discussion.

There may have been a rocket launch or two involved.

If you catch my meaning.
