Are rare goods merits based on the tonnage you trade, or the profit from selling the goods? It seems to me that if merits are generated based on the tonnage delivered, changing that to being based on profit might be a better fix than reducing the availability of goods. Further reducing the profit would then slow the merit progression from rare trading if that is the end goal.

In general I enjoy the effect of PP2 on stations, with the holos, the flags, the pro and anti graffiti. It makes the places feel more real, like it actually is not the same place everywhere you go. Hope that more changes are coming (and not just cosmetics).

I certainly hope you're right. I was sincerely looking forward to powerplay 2.0 to breathe life into this title and give a more overarching campaign, which I think it certainly could have done so, and still seems at some level to be frontier's attempt. Like, I gotta believe bothering to make new factions and advance the story is an attempt to move things forward. I'd just like them to perhaps look at what changes are being made a bit more carefully.

They cant be that silly to revert one update that made engineering actually fun. I would pay them to do grinding for a few days all day and see how tedious it is. But they dont care

u dont earn merits for delivering in your power territory. I was able to rank up and reach 100k merits. Not to mention they keep nerfing the amount of rare goods. There was one with 108t before, reduced to 37t now.

Earning merits from rare commodities is no longer a thing. Like why? Only left thing is power conflict zones which is 2-3 times longer normal high intensity conflict zone or farming power data/items from settlements

Slowly and cautiously, I approached the pyramid, my boots echoing against the metal floor. The air around me felt charged, and a strange shiver ran through my body as a low hum vibrated in the air, resonating deep within my chest. The symbols on the pyramid changed their pattern, pulsing more slowly and steadily now.

"Did you hear that? Something's going on here..." I said as I scanned the room for traps while trying to find out more about the technology in front of me.

My heart began to pound violently, each beat growing louder in my ears and drowning out the echo of my footsteps. The closer I got, the more I felt as if the pyramid was a living being waiting for me. Doubts and fears swirled around in my head and an inner voice urged me to turn and run back to the elevator, but I forced my feet to keep going.

When I finally stood in front of the pyramid, a shiver ran down my spine, not because of the cold in the room, but because of the profound feeling of being watched, observed by an invisible presence. Every hair on the back of my neck stood on end as the low hum of the pyramid grew louder and enveloped me. My breath caught as the symbols began to glow brighter, their light pulsating in sync now with my heartbeat. I couldn't shake the feeling that this was more than just technology - it was something intelligent, something that recognized me on a level beyond comprehension.

Next, all the screens stopped showing their streams, and showed different perspectives of myself instead.

In the Commanders -> Crafting list if I add a suit to the list in personal equipment and all I add is updating the suit from grade 3 to grade 3 it shows I need components to do this. It looks like it is picking the grade 2 to grade 3 components. You also cannot pick grade 5 to grade 5.
If you have a suit of a given grade and want to see what components are needed for just adding the modification you will get the suit upgrade components also.

I'd like to spray obscene words on Thargoids and throw them into a settlement full of some goofs with a catapult.

Reminds me of those that have been in the Pleiades, like "Deliver us Salvation", or "Bugs Get Squashed". There was also one that looked like a Thargoids forbidden sign showing the flower like design with a dash through it.

Maybe it was the object, which I was having some fuzzy feelings about, but I wasn’t entirely convinced if it was actually the thing relaying the camera feeds. Seemed likely, though, given what we were seeing.

I also wasn’t sure if the cause of those funny feelings was down to the unknown nature of this… thing, or came from those certain components to my body which were neither quite natural, nor human. And had a tendency to dislike the exposure to the Guardian technology that Azimuth loved using all too much. I gestured for my companion to move ahead, carefully… was in no rush to get close to whatever that was, myself.

Hopefully, those rows of androids were somewhere other than this facility or wouldn’t wake up on us… considering their number, that would present a very unnecessary delay.

The elevator took way longer than I had anticipated, but finally a hidden loudspeaker chimed softly, signaling our arrival. As the doors slid open, I was immediately struck by the stark contrast from what I had expected. Instead of a bustling command center filled with terminals, screens, and control panels, there was a vast, dimly lit chamber in front of us. Almost cathedral-like, with high ceilings that stretched into the shadows, its walls seemed to absorb all light coming from the elevator.

In the center of the room stood a bigger structure that immediately had my attention - a pyramid-shaped object that bore a faint resemblance to ancient Guardian relics. Its surface appeared smooth, save for a few enigmatic symbols that pulsed with a soft, eerie glow. Surrounding it, large screens displayed streams of data, their contents shifting and changing in real-time. Some were showing different perspectives of a hall with alcoves on the walls that appeared to contain androids. These monitor showed the words ‘Ark One’. At the same moment, others showed a kind of ship control room containing a similar looking pyramid.

I stepped out of the elevator, my senses heightened and every nerve on edge. This certainly did not correspond to the largely standardised structure of a normal human facility.

"Alright," I said, my voice echoing slightly in the vastness. "Whatever that thing is.... let's ensure it is shut down for good."
