CMDR PAUSANIAS - THE SHIP OF THE MIND EXPEDITION - DAY 63
11 Oct 2020Pausanias
Hi Cmdrs,Using the T9 for exploration was a bit of a bad idea but only because it has such a poor fuel scoop, everything else went well including the number of planets I found which had some great value resulting in me handing in over 13,500,000 in exploration data when I reached the Carrier tonight.
I set off in the T9 on the 22 jumps required to reach the Carrier and very soon dropped into a system with this Ammonia World in it which I investigated.
I then went on to find this Waterworld in another system . . .
At one point on the journey I turned my head fully around and looked into the back of the T9 with it's corridors leading off to the left and right and suddenly felt a shiver down my spine as I realised I was a long way out and totally alone in a very big ship, or was I? There could be someone or something in the ship with me, it's so big and empty of cargo that there would be a thousand places to hide in it. I decided to stop looking around, keep my eyes forward and concentrate on the task ahead.
I came across the Ammonia World with Water Based Life which looked very interesting so this ones gone in the album.
I made it to The Carl Sagan tonight, I didn't fancy spending the night in a spooky ship, I feel much safer on the Carrier knowing the Crew are around too. Tomorrow I need to take the Cutter and find some Tritium to mine!
Total Carrier jump distance since 10th August: 20,500 ltyrs - (Personal note: 38 jumps on 9 Oct)
Total Ship jump so far: 39,666
Total planets Level 3 scanned: 14,916
Total exploration data: 384,000,000 credits
Total systems with my name on: 2769
The Cutter is now 13,643 ltyrs away from Sol!
Distance to Beagle Point: 55,100 ltyrs - this is 100 more than last night I assume because I am heading to the right of the Galaxy
TRA X-1, approximately 800 to go . . .
