CMDR PAUSANIAS - THE SHIP OF THE MIND EXPEDITION - DAY 72

BINARY SYSTEMS, TRINARY SYSTEMS AND A VOLCANO, OR IS IT?Hi Cmdrs,
I arranged the next jump for The Carl Sagan with Matthew, my Deck Officer, and set off on the 9 jumps required. Using the 64 ltyr jumping Asp Explorer certainly cuts down on the travel time!
Within a couple of jumps I found this Trinary Star system.
In another system I found this planet with what I first thought was another Volcano, but I couldn’t get close enough to to be sure, it sort of looks like a huge structure too, see what you think?
I found a huge swirling hurricane force storm on this High Metal Content planet.
This is Binary system in dropped into. The Asp looks totally insignificant between these two giant gas fireballs.
This is me leaving a Waterworld I’d just mapped.
I’ve moved the Carrier twice today. On the first jump I handed in 11,000,000 upon arriving at the Carrier. When I left for the second Carrier jump I took this image because I was in a Binary system again. It might look like a star in the background but that dot just above the centre of the Carrier is actually my entire Asp, it gives you an idea of just how big the Carrier is but that in itself is a dot in the Cosmic Ocean.
To meet the Carriers second jump was again 9 jumps and when I arrived I had another 3,000,000 of scan data to hand in making a total of 14,000,000 for the day.
Total Carrier jump distance since 10th August: 24,500 ltyrs - (Personal note: 46 jumps on 17 Oct)
Total Ship jump so far: 43,516
Total planets Level 3 scanned: 17,135
Total exploration data: 435,000,000 credits
Total systems with my name on: 2910
The Cutter is now 16,591 ltyrs away from Sol!
Distance to Beagle Point: 53,976 ltyrs
The adventure continues . . .
